Easter Sunday: The Resurrection of Our Lord

Alleluia! Christ is risen!

Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Join us for our annual festival worship in celebration of Jesus' resurrection from death and triumph over death and evil.  We will make joyful music, pray together, and even shout with joy as we hear and celebrate the story of Jesus being raised to new life even though he was put to death.  We will share the bread and wine of communion and in so doing share in that risen life into which Jesus invites us all.  Join us after worship for a time of fellowship and refreshments, with special Easter activities for children.

Great Vigil of Easter - 8pm

This is the night!

Join us for our family-style celebration of this ancient liturgy that dates back to the time of the early church.  With songs and story and community and ritual, we celebrate the resurrection.  We gather around the fire to share God's story of faithfulness throughout the generations which is also our story of life renewed.  We remember our baptismal covenant of new life with Christ, and share in the first Communion meal of the Easter season as we experience and proclaim the new life of the risen Christ.

Good Friday Worship - 3pm

Join us as we remember the story of Jesus death on the cross.  This small, contemplative service includes music, readings and prayers that invite us to consider the mystery and paradox of the cross of Christ--an instrument of death and also for us a Tree of Life and sign of solidarity with us and all who suffer.

Maundy Thursday Worship - 7pm

Join us as we step across the threshold into the story of Jesus' passion--his journey to, and beyond, the cross.  This family-style service invites us to remember Jesus' last meal with his friends before he was arrested--we share in hearing assurance of God's forgiveness, in sharing the story of Jesus and the disciples' last meal, in washing one another's feet, and in sharing the bread and wine of communion.  With singing and story, in one another and in generations-old Christian practice, we invite one another into these holy and mysterious three days.

Worship: Service of the Word

We gather to worship, remembering and giving thanks for our baptism, hearing God's Word read and preached, and joining our voices together in prayer and song.

Our gospel text for the day is Luke 17:11-19, a story of ten people healed of leprosy, and the one who returns to thank Jesus for the healing.  As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we wonder together: What could it be that prompted one person to give thanks, and what kept the others from doing likewise?  What gets in the way of our thankfulness, and what nurtures it?

Lutheran-Anglican Night: Part II

A follow up to last week's gathering at Mount Olivet, this week we will gather at St Clement's to continue our lively discussion about what an "Anglican" and a "Lutheran" really are, what we share in our two very closely related traditions and what differences or gifts we bring to our relationship and shared ministry.

Rev. Lynne and Pastor Carolina will also answer all the questions submitted last week.

We hope to see you there!
