We are a small and connected congregation. We build our life of faith together to include ministries of worship, music, teaching & learning, social justice, prayer, and celebration. Scroll down to learn about some of the ways you can join us as we follow Jesus and build community together. We are still working on adding to this page, so if you are looking for something here and it's not here yet, it may be on its way!

Sunday Morning Worship
Worship is the heart of our life together.
We gather every Sunday morning at 10:00am to give thanks, pray, sing, learn, worship, and be fed together. Some of the songs, bible readings, prayers, and the shape of how we worship will probably be familiar to you if you have worshiped at another Christian church. Whether it is familiar or not, we are always happy to have you and to help one another understand and take part in ways that are comfortable for each of us.
Come join us!
Every Sunday, from September to mid-June, beginning at 10 a.m. We offer Sunday school classes for children from preschool age to 12. You are welcome to join us.
Children will stay with parents in worship for the first 10 minutes and then they will proceed to the Sunday school room. Children always return in time to join us for Communion.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study
Adult education is an important aspect of Mount Olivet Lutheran Church. We would love to have you with us on Wednesday. Come join us in studying our faith.
The nature of the study is sometimes text based and sometimes topical, based on the interests of group members. In the past, we have studied such topics as: the book of Acts, early Christianity, how to read the Bible, predestination & God's will, and human sexuality. The conversation is always lively and any and all questions and insights are welcome.
Wednesday mornings 10:00am - 11:30am
Practices Evening Bible Study
If your work keeps you busy during the days, you may want to join us in our evening Bible study group.
We are currently studying practices of the Christian faith, using poems, art, questions, imagination, and discussion to crack open together some of how our tradition and our own life experiences can teach us to practice our faith through day-to-day familiar actions. Some practices we have studied or hope to study include Prayer, Eating & Drinking, Music & Singing, Asking Questions, Hospitality, and many others.
We meet two evenings a month from 7 - 9 pm to accommodate busy work schedules and we chat and share on facebook in between meetings.
Our congregation is host to a wonderful children's choir, open to the wider community as well as to church members. This is for all children ages 4 years old and up who are interested in singing and learning music. It is free to join and directed by the talented Tae Maeda. The choir rehearses Friday afternoons at 4:30pm and sings in worship on the last Sunday of every month. Contact Tae through the church office if you would like to learn more.
Our church choir rehearses on Thursday evenings and sings and leads singing in worship about once a month. We have a wonderful time together and are always happy to welcome new choir members. For more information or to join the choir, contact our wonderful Choir Director Ingrid Potter through the church office.
